Role Description
This position is responsible for generating sales and expanding market presence in an assigned territory through inbound and outbound sales calls and lead generation.
- Identify opportunities for both print and digital products through the use of phone, email, and desktop tools.
- Identify and follow up on leads, establish new customer relationships, and build on existing ones to ensure sales to new markets and repeat business.
- Participate in development of Sales strategy, samplers, promotions, and proposal writing.
- Understand subscription sales and generate new subscription sales and renewals.
- Close (and manage) sales opportunities from start to finish.
- Support and attend conferences and exhibits as requested.
- Work with Sales Reps on assigned special projects as requested.
- Correspond with customers; gather and submit feedback from sales reps and/or customers on products, customer service, fulfillment, and other issues.
- Develop introduction letters and create prospecting packages.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Proven track record of Inside Sales that includes experience with the K – 12 school market and subscription sales.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Highly refined listening skills, excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management software programs.
- Strong research capability and familiarity with all available internet and database tools.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
