Role Description

Eaton’s North American Sales division is currently seeking a Field Application Engineer, Electronics to join its team. This role is remote and is based in the Dallas, TX or Austin, TX area. Only candidates within these locations will be considered.

This exciting opportunity offers hands-on involvement with high-impact OEM customers and advanced power management solutions in computing and other industries. The role combines deep technical engagement, strong customer-facing influence, and contributions to significant regional business growth.

What you’ll do:

• Provide customer application and technical support, design assistance for ELXD full product lines in Texas, mainly focusing on service computing OEMs including Dell, AMD, AWS (machine learning), HPE, HPI, Meta, IFX, and TI.
• Frequent travel to various locations to collaborate with customers for product/project designing and developing.
• Visit customers together with sales to assist in technical discussions regularly; especially handle troubleshooting for key accounts.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide application support to OEMs mainly located in Texas, including system analysis and proposal, product selection, layout, technical comparison, elevation drawings, configuration, etc.
• Effectively translate customer needs to commercial & R&D team to facilitate product design and specification to improve NBO success rate.
• Deliver training programs to customers and channel partners on product technology, including product technology, applications, and regular product roadmap updates.
• Gather customer feedback and provide input to product management to improve product acceptance in the marketplace and drive roadmap development.
• Work with marketing and sales teams to identify new opportunities and contribute to achieve/exceed NBO pipeline target.
• Prepare technical literature, application notes, technical sales tools, training material, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years of field application experience in the electronics industry.
• No relocation assistance will be provided for this role. Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of either Austin, TX or Dallas, TX. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Sound technical background with strong application knowledge in Power Management for the following industries:
  • Computing – Server & Storage (must)
  • Automotive & Transportation
  • Industrial segment
• Knowledge of Codes and Standards.
• Initiative and positive attitude.
• Frequent travel is required.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Mandarin proficiency preferred.
