[Hiring] Director - Sourcing @Concordance

Role Description

We have a job opening and exciting career opportunity for a full-time Director, Sourcing in any Concordance location or remote. The Director, Sourcing will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy of our private label brands for the company.

• Work directly with Concordance’s current and future sourcing partners to grow the portfolio.
• Implement best practices encompassing customer need, quality, and competitive pricing.
• Drive the development of sales and profit growth strategies for product portfolios.
• Collaborate closely with Concordance’s sales team, supplier relations, marketing, contracts, and other functional areas.

Essential Functions:

• Lead Concordance’s sourcing team for private label brands.
• Evaluate, develop, and implement private brand sourcing strategies and action plans.
• Build strong relationships with key internal departments and sourcing partners.
• Collaborate effectively with sales and internal functional area leaders.
• Coordinate category management and product sourcing decisions with the Supplier Relations Department.
• Communicate and plan closely with supplier relations, sourcing, and channel partners.
• Responsible for the creation, implementation, and ongoing management of private label products.
• Lead people and processes to meet departmental objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational cost savings.
• Improve accuracy and efficiency on international and domestic purchasing.
• Develop and hit annual performance targets for revenue, profitability, inventory, and overall net contribution value.
• Collaborate with marketing to drive brand awareness.
• Travel required 15% of the time domestically and internationally.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 8 years in previous med-surg product/industry specific or procurement/product sourcing experience.
• MBA, with concentration in business administration, supply chain or related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Concordance or equivalent company in the healthcare industry or related product-sourcing role.
• Proven leadership characteristics, including knowledge sharing and positive attitude.
• Strong problem solving, analytics, time management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Effective relationship building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Strong negotiating skills are critical for this role.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethics.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.
