[Hiring] Director of Sales, Aftermarket Services @Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries

2mths ago - Nikkiso Cryogenic Industries is hiring a remote Director of Sales, Aftermarket Services. 💸 Salary: $170,000 to $190,000 plus bonus opportunity 📍Location: USA

Role Description

Nikkiso Cryogenic Services is seeking a transformative commercial leader to architect and scale our North American aftermarket business. This role is designed for a senior executive with the vision, discipline, and commercial rigor to redefine how aftermarket value is created in rotating equipment and cryogenic systems.

As Director of Sales, Aftermarket Services, you will own the strategic direction, growth trajectory, and commercial performance of NCS’s aftermarket portfolio across North America. You will shape the long-term revenue model, expand recurring service streams, and elevate Nikkiso’s market position as the partner of choice for critical cryogenic and turbomachinery assets.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and customer value. It requires a leader who can operate at the executive level with customers and internally, while building scalable commercial systems, world-class teams, and disciplined execution models.

Location: Houston, Texas or Huntington Beach, California

Annual Salary: $170,000 to $190,000 plus bonus opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Impact
    • Redesign and scale the North American aftermarket commercial engine to accelerate growth, margin expansion, and market share gains.
    • Establish a best-in-class aftermarket operating model centered on Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSAs), lifecycle services, and digital-enabled service offerings.
    • Position Nikkiso as a strategic lifecycle partner—not simply a service provider—across energy, industrial, LNG, hydrogen, and marine markets.
    • Drive cultural transformation toward accountability, performance excellence, and customer-centricity across the commercial organization.
  • Commercial Strategy & Market Leadership
    • Define and execute a multi-year aftermarket growth strategy aligned with NCS global objectives and functional unit priorities.
    • Identify and penetrate high-value market segments, including LNG, hydrogen, industrial gas, marine, and energy transition markets.
    • Develop and scale recurring revenue models through LTSAs, service agreements, upgrades, and modernization programs.
    • Translate market intelligence, competitive dynamics, and customer insights into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Revenue & Performance Accountability
    • Own North American aftermarket sales performance, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline quality.
    • Establish rigorous KPI frameworks, operating rhythms, and governance models to drive predictable growth.
    • Lead pricing strategy, margin optimization, and value-based selling across the service portfolio.
  • Elite Team Building & Leadership
    • Build, inspire, and retain a high-performance commercial organization spanning field sales, inside sales, and proposal management.
    • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Design talent development frameworks to build future commercial leaders within NCS.
  • Executive Customer Engagement
    • Cultivate executive-level relationships with strategic customers and partners.
    • Lead complex, high-value negotiations and long-cycle contracts with global customers.
    • Represent Nikkiso as a trusted advisor on lifecycle asset strategies and aftermarket optimization.
  • Enterprise Collaboration & Influence
    • Foster strong internal relationships and close collaboration with engineering, operations, finance and field services to align commercial strategy with technical capability and delivery excellence.
    • Influence global product and service roadmaps based on market demand and customer feedback.
  • Commercial Infrastructure & Digitalization
    • Drive full adoption of Salesforce and advanced analytics to create a data-driven commercial organization.
    • Institutionalize world-class sales processes, governance, and best practices across the region.

Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years of senior commercial leadership experience in aftermarket rotating equipment, turbomachinery, cryogenics, oil & gas, or industrial services.
  • Proven success scaling aftermarket businesses with recurring revenue models and multi-year service agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, distributed sales organizations and transform commercial performance.
  • Track record of closing complex, high-value contracts with global customers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline required.
  • MBA or advanced business qualification strongly preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with a builder’s mindset and strong execution discipline.
  • Exceptional financial and commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management, and P&L influence.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Deep understanding of rotating equipment lifecycle economics and aftermarket value creation.

Why This Role Is Different

  • This is not a traditional sales leadership position. It is a rare opportunity to:
  • Architect the future of Nikkiso’s aftermarket business in North America.
  • Build a scalable, high margin recurring revenue engine in a global technology company.
  • Shape customer strategies in LNG, hydrogen, and energy transition markets.
  • Lead at the intersection of engineering excellence and commercial innovation.
  • At Nikkiso Cryogenic Services, you will not simply manage sales; you will redefine how value is created across the lifecycle of critical cryogenic and turbomachinery assets.
