Role Description

In your position as a member of senior management, you are responsible for the functional topic areas of Marketing & Sales Planning in the Car Sales unit, both in disciplinary and financial terms from a business perspective.

  • Work together with the other two business stream leads on the development of Purpose and Strategy.
  • Create prerequisites for data-driven customer journeys, both online and offline, within a uniform business and IT architecture.
  • Responsible for the targeted development of specialist and technical competencies as well as capacities.
  • Continuously check the use of new technologies and innovations.
  • Function as a central mediator between the interests of business partners, coordinate requirements, and ensure successful objective achievement along a clearly defined roadmap.
  • Advance the expansion of the Mercedes-Benz Tech innovation portfolio in sales planning and marketing.
  • Proactively expand networking within Home of Tech and promote collaboration models in the Car Sales business stream.
  • Develop national and international strategic partnerships with internal and external partners to achieve targeted scaling.
  • Assume responsibility for the 24/7 provision of reliable IT services and products for business-critical sales processes of Mercedes-Benz AG.
  • Support the data-driven development of new services for business streams of Mercedes-Benz AG.
  • Promote standardization in the marketing and sales ecosystem to contribute to the efficient digital transformation of Mercedes-Benz AG.

Qualifications

  • Many years of relevant professional experience in IT-specific corporate roles.
  • Extensive international management experience.
  • Passion and expertise in the core topics of Car Sales.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects in the transformation and digitalization of strategic business processes.
  • Joy and experience in actively shaping changes and developing new topic areas.
  • Expertise in agile software product development.
  • Knowledge of methods of enterprise architecture, software engineering, BizDevSecOps, data engineering, and IT security.
  • Excellent understanding of processes in sales planning, including short-term and strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with adjacent processes in production and procurement.
  • Familiarity with various business domains and sales levels in the Mercedes-Benz Sales environment.
  • Strong entrepreneurial and result-oriented thinking and acting skills.
  • High flexibility, resilience, and remarkable commitment.
  • Business-level spoken and written English.
