Role Description
The Business Development Representative reports to the Head of Business Development and plays a key role in the execution of the partner strategy for iBusiness Funding’s technology and services ecosystem.
- Work closely with the Head of Business Development and Enterprise Account Executives to expand our footprint.
- Logo Hunting and Selling to Banks and Financial Institutions.
- Drive business development efforts through research, outreach, calling, and emailing.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of target accounts and plan a strategic approach.
- Engage with key decision-makers and senior leaders to uncover business pain points.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, effectively articulating the value of iBusiness Funding’s solutions.
- Attend industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to identify new prospects and build relationships.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Product, Marketing, Sales, and Legal, to ensure alignment on partner strategy.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, and/or strategic partnerships.
- Proven ability to engage in a consultative sales process, effectively navigating regulatory requirements, risk assessment, stakeholder alignment, and long sales cycles.
- Sales experience in technology SaaS or financial services preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Highly motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to generate new and innovative approaches to problems.
- Experience engaging with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers at financial institutions.
- Creative, strategic, analytical, and outside-of-the-box problem solver.
- Experience with in-person conference networking and marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
