Role Description

The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Rep Data plays key roles in supporting the Sales Team by:

  • Proactively conducting market research to identify new potential clients and business opportunities.
  • Building and managing the lead pipeline.
  • Initiating contact with potential clients via phone calls, emails, and other communication channels.
  • Clearly communicating the value proposition of the company's products/services.
  • Scheduling introductory meetings or product demos and following up with clients to ensure meetings scheduled are held.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Working closely with marketing to align outreach strategies with campaigns.
  • Providing feedback to the product and marketing teams based on client interactions.

In addition to the above, senior-level business development position responsibilities will also include:

  • Owning attendee list in advance of conferences and special events.
  • Working with AEs and AMs 1:1 on strategic outreach and contacts/account assignments.
  • Attending conferences and speaking engagements, tracking actual attendance and engagement of current and potential clients.
  • Scheduling meetings and working with AEs to follow up on leads from special events.
  • Taking notes and logging notes from IQMs in Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, but not required if the candidate has relevant experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles.
  • Experience working with CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.

Requirements

  • Strong research skills to identify potential clients and business opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate a value proposition clearly and confidently.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Hubspot) to track and manage client interactions.
  • Organizational skills to manage lead pipelines and follow-up effectively.
  • Ability to adapt outreach strategies based on feedback and client needs.
  • Collaboration skills to align efforts with marketing and sales teams.
  • Strong time-management skills to balance multiple priorities and meet activity and outcome metrics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of market research techniques and outreach strategies.
