Role Description

The Business Development Executive is an integral part of the Revenue Generation division, focused predominantly on the US market. This position is responsible for driving new opportunities/prospects through to closure and supporting the achievement of stated annual revenue targets for the region.

  • Drive new business by developing relationships with prospective accounts
  • Deliver individual and collective sales revenue targets with prospective clients
  • Leverage, facilitate and drive CCi’s ERA3 sales methodology
  • Document and update all communication and sales activities in the CRM system
  • Create and maintain competitive advantage through impactful communications
  • Own the diagnose, design and close stages on the sales process
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers, and understand their challenges
  • Develop a value hypothesis to establish relationships with C-Suite and core decision-makers
  • Influence a client’s selection process and evaluation criteria
  • Coordinate face-to-face meetings and demo presentations with prospect clients
  • Manage proposals and negotiations while influencing key decision makers
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales Operations on contract negotiations
  • Develop and manage accurate and timely budget and forecasts
  • Prepare weekly progress, pipeline and forecast reports
  • Maintain product and services knowledge
  • Stay updated on industry trends and business development methodologies
  • Challenge the Revenue Generation team with latest thinking
  • Maintain professional development through feedback and self-reflection

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Engineering or Operations Management preferred or Business Administration (with an emphasis in Supply Chain or Finance and Accounting)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent experience in continuous improvement methodologies

Requirements

  • MBA preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Experience selling software to Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of consultative sales experience
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Lead generation and pipeline management experience required
  • Strong negotiation skills and understanding of executing commercial and legal contracts
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Previous experience using Salesforce or other CRM required
  • Business acumen, financial analysis and reporting experience required
  • Excellent understanding of world class manufacturing principles
  • Ability to collaborate with product SMEs and specialist consultants
  • Self-starter that acts with a sense of urgency
