[Hiring] Business Development/Admin/Marketing VA (Accounting Software) @Hunt St

Role Description

We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Virtual Assistant to support a growing accounting software business. This role blends business development, admin, and basic marketing support, with a strong focus on outreach and client engagement. You’ll play a key role in connecting with accounting firms, booking product demos, and ensuring smooth follow-ups, while also assisting with day-to-day administrative and marketing tasks. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is confident in communication and eager to grow with a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to accounting firms via email, LinkedIn, and other channels
• Qualify leads and schedule product demos with potential clients
• Follow up with prospects after demos to maintain engagement and move deals forward
• Assist with CRM management, keeping records accurate and up to date
• Provide general administrative and basic support as needed
• Support basic marketing initiatives (e.g., email campaigns, content updates, or social media tasks)
• Collaborate with the team to improve outreach strategies and processes

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales support, or a similar client-facing role
• Experience working with or selling software (SaaS), ideally within accounting or finance, is highly preferred
• Strong spoken and written English communication skills
• Proficiency in Xero, along with a strong understanding of accounting firm processes within the Australian context
• Experience with CRM tools and basic marketing platforms is an advantage; familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Clandestine, and MailChimp would be considered a plus
• Comfortable with outreach, lead generation, and follow-ups
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Willing and able to work Adelaide business hours
