Role Description

Essity Professional Hygiene is currently searching for an experienced Account Manager. The Account Manager will focus on large end user development, working with district distribution partners, retaining and growing existing business, pursuing new multi-segment valid business opportunities, and collaborating with internal departments on supply chain, merchandising, pricing, and sales & marketing.

The Account Manager operates with clear guidance from the Regional Manager, executing on priorities defined by Commercial Planning. Responsible for creating strong relationships and collaboration with designated distributors by proactively retaining existing business and creating shared profitable growth with current and new distribution partners.

This will be a remote position responsible for covering the Chicago market. The ideal candidate should live in the Chicago area with the ability to travel often.

What You Will Do:

  • Plan and develop strong relationships and TORK competence with distribution partners.
  • Execute clear communication, following Essity Commercial Planning directives and overall BU directives to ensure targets are met regarding distribution partner satisfaction, retention, and profitable growth.
  • Negotiate with distribution partners in sales district and create and execute distribution business plans.
  • Hold business reviews and take a proactive approach in driving cross-selling and upselling in existing accounts.
  • Translate sales plans into operational sales activities per customer/account according to Sales Manager and Commercial Planning guidelines.
  • Monitor and adjust sales activities regularly to ensure objectives are met.
  • Pursue sales leads provided from Essity and distributor partner by building a strong distribution partnership.
  • Ensure DSR have outstanding knowledge and understanding of Essity products and hygiene solutions.
  • Actively cooperate with Segment sales to support End Customers wins.
  • Deliver on agreed Sales targets and Sales KPIs with designated Distribution partners.
  • Act as the first line of response for day-to-day business matters and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Execute on product mix, hygiene solutions, and strategic product mix contributing to profitability and retention according to agreed goals and sales targets.
  • Position TORK as the partner of choice and preferred brand with distribution partners in the sales district.
  • Continuously build market knowledge and respond to sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitors.
  • Secure and actively develop own sales competence in sales & business systems, sales techniques, analytics, customer/product and hygiene solutions, and organizational/administrational competence.
  • Secure strong own competence and actively develop leadership competence according to Essity Leadership platform โ€œLeading Selfโ€.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing (Experience in lieu of education will be considered).
  • 3-5 years of sales experience; 2-3 years of account management.
  • Leading technical capabilities to work in a blended selling role and strong CRM experience.
  • Technical competencies such as OmniChannels, trends in eCommerce, and digital sales communication.
  • Ability to work virtually with customers and internal teams.
  • Experience using MS Office, MS Teams, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Proficient in presenting virtual presentations via online platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience working with CRM systems (i.e., Microsoft Dynamics) preferred.
  • Proven negotiating, persuasion, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to seek out, identify, qualify, and capture revenue opportunities to achieve short and long-term strategic goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships on all levels.
  • Team player who embraces change.
  • Financial, Business, and Technical acumen with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 60%; Approximately 1-2 overnights a month.
