[Hiring] Account Executive, Partnership Consulting @GMR Marketing

Role Description

As an Account Executive reporting to the Account Supervisor, you will support strategic partnership initiatives while helping manage and grow a portfolio of local sports teams and entertainment properties. In this role, you will:

• Develop partnership strategies and analyze performance.
• Ensure successful execution across a wide range of sponsorships spanning major league teams and properties.
• Collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and external partners to maximize the impact of sponsorship investments.
• Deliver meaningful fan engagement.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in sports marketing.
• Strong understanding of the sports business landscape including teams, leagues, fans, and sponsors.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with spreadsheets and data sets.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and a self-starter.
• Experience in sponsorship strategy, account management, and ideally contract negotiation.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.

Requirements

• Support the development of annual portfolio strategies and opportunity assessments.
• Lead monthly sponsorship dashboard reporting in collaboration with research teams.
• Own partnership recaps and year-end evaluations with third-party measurement partners.
• Continuously monitor competitive activity and industry trends.
• Manage a portfolio of local sports teams and entertainment properties.
• Lead renewal processes and identify new partnership opportunities.
• Oversee contract negotiations and act as the liaison between clients, properties, and legal teams.
• Collaborate with internal Engagement teams and clients to plan and execute partnerships.
• Create and deliver visually engaging presentations that communicate performance, strategy, and opportunities.
• Travel a few times per year to support partnership management and attend events.
