Role Description

This role involves supporting the Sales Director to develop new clients and support the future growth of the business.

  • Generate new sales revenues from either new or existing clients
  • Maintain a balance between achieving sales targets and ensuring customer expectations on cost, functionality, and quality are met
  • Qualify and close incoming sales leads while generating additional new business leads through networking and proposition development
  • Receive defined and structured ongoing training, mentoring, and career development
  • Utilize the Sales Process effectively
  • Develop a career rapidly within the Data & AI Practice
  • Empower staff to define their own career path and seize opportunities
  • Qualifying new sales leads and opportunities
  • Positioning and selling data and AI solutions to clients
  • Working with industry partners to develop and maintain relationships
  • Maintaining and updating customer information in the CRM application
  • Planning and organizing personal sales strategies
  • Assisting in the development of go-to-market propositions with the Marketing team
  • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements
  • Working with pre-sales and technical consultants to agree on a solution and present it to clients
  • Negotiating the terms of agreements and closing sales
  • Representing the Data & AI Practice at trade exhibitions and events
  • Creating proposal documents and responding to RFPs
  • Keeping up-to-date with trends and developments in the insight and analytics sector
  • Updating technical knowledge and skills regularly
  • Focusing on effective time management

Qualifications

  • 5 years plus sales or pre-sales experience in the IT industry (Public Sector preferred)
  • Experience in Data & AI is preferred
  • Experience of partnering with Microsoft
  • Strong education (ideally a graduate but not essential)
  • Aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers focused on outcomes
  • Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of responding to complex RFPs highly desirable
