Role Description

Northeastern University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program is a two-year experiential program designed to advance lifelong learning and the education and training of Pharm.D. graduates. A key element of the program’s success is preparing Fellows to meet evolving workforce needs across various sectors of the pharmaceutical industry.

Fellows have the opportunity to work closely with our innovative biopharmaceutical industry partners, while engaging with Northeastern University faculty in professional and career development, teaching, service, and scholarly activities.

In partnership with Northeastern University, Dompé is offering a two-year fellowship in Global Medical Affairs - Real-World Evidence & Health Economics and Outcomes Research (RWE/HEOR), based remotely.

The Pharmacy Postdoctoral Fellow will join the Real-World Evidence / Health Economics and Outcomes Research (RWE/HEOR) team for a two-year commitment, where they will be immersed in a variety of Global Medical Affairs activities:

• Year 1: Dedicated immersion in RWE/HEOR, with experience in integrated evidence generation plan (IEGP) development, RWE generation, HEOR strategy and analytics, health technology assessment, value dossier development, and payer engagement.
• Year 2: Two 6-month rotations in Global Medical Affairs functions, selected from: Medical Engagement Strategy, Medical Communications, Medical Information & Operations, Patient Advocacy, and Field Medical.
• Approximately 25% of time dedicated to the RWE/HEOR team, with the remaining time devoted to the active rotation.
• Opportunity to learn about various industry functions such as Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, or the Commercial Organization through longitudinal projects.
• Opportunity to attend Medical Congresses.
• Rotations may be extended at the discretion of the rotation supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Manage the generation of foundational epidemiologic data for cross-functional partners across all therapeutic areas and functions.
• Learn the tasks, processes, and industry standards involved in conducting RWE, HEOR, and epidemiologic research activities.
• Assist in managing integrated evidence plans across therapeutic areas.
• Contribute to the design and execution of RWE and HEOR studies, including concept documents, protocols, statistical analysis plans, and study reports.
• Contribute actively to the development and launch of RWE/HEOR strategies within the team.
• Support development of global value dossiers, health technology assessment (HTA) submissions, and payer-facing value communication materials.
• Support health economic modeling (e.g., cost-effectiveness and budget-impact models) and systematic literature reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate up-to-date data generation plans and needs as a subject matter expert.
• Support the RWE/HEOR team in overseeing operational activities for the team's projects.
• Participate in Northeastern University academic activities, including teaching, precepting, service, and a longitudinal scholarly project.
• Build the experience and skills needed to succeed on an epidemiology, RWE Sciences, and/or HEOR team in the biotech industry.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution or PhD in relevant life science.
• Eligible for pharmacist licensure in the State of Massachusetts, if candidate has a Pharm.D.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate in a cross-functional environment across multiple time zones, and take initiative on a variety of projects at both the industry site and Northeastern.
• Demonstrated interest in real-world evidence, epidemiology, health economics, or outcomes research through prior research, coursework, or rotation experience.

Compensation

Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 108S

Expected Hiring Range: $60,315.00 - $85,192.50

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
