Role Description

This position is for self-employed contract work only. All work is coordinated remotely from Karnataka (Bangalore or Mysore). Experience in market research and in-depth interviews are key. MUST BE LOCATED IN - Karnataka (Bangalore or Mysore).

Project Opportunity: Store Checks – Illicit Alcohol Study (Heineken)

Location: India – Karnataka (Bangalore or Mysore)

Project duration: Approximately 7 days

Fieldwork start: End of this week (Karnataka – Bangalore first)

Total scope: 10 store checks

We are looking for Independent Consultants/Associates (ICAs) to support an upcoming Illicit Alcohol Study for Heineken in India. The project involves visiting liquor outlets, conducting store checks, and interacting with outlet staff to collect relevant information.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit assigned liquor outlets and complete store checks.
• Interact professionally with outlet staff to gather the required information.
• Complete 10 store checks within the assigned 7-day fieldwork period.
• Travel to Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities as required.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of collected information.

Locations and Requirements

• Karnataka (confirmed):
• Bangalore: 7 store checks
• Mysore: 3 store checks

Who Can Apply?

• Individuals with experience in field research, retail audits, market research, or store checks are preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable visiting liquor outlets and interacting with outlet staff.
• Willingness to travel locally between assigned cities.
• Ability to complete the assigned store checks within the project timeline.
• High level of numeracy. Ability to work with, analyze, and interpret data.
• Strong interest in market research and tenacity in the pursuit of information.
• ICAs should be comfortable travelling between major cities and nearby Tier 2 cities, if required.
• Male ICAs are preferred for this particular project due to the nature of the fieldwork.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to find strong industry contacts.
• Fluency in English (reporting) and the local language (research).
• Previous experience working on a short-term contract basis or in a freelance capacity.
• Excellent time-management, organization and self-motivation skills.
• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Flexibility to adapt to unexpected changes in project scope, starting dates, etc.
• Disposition to visit local stores to capture relevant product information and to discuss the industry with key staff.
• Continuous training in our market research methodologies via online courses and selected live training sessions.
• Collaboration with an international team across EMEA and beyond.
• The ability to contribute to research projects for top multinationals.
