[Hiring] UAT Test Engineer @Govcio LLC

Role Description

GovCIO is currently hiring for a UAT Test Engineer to support the Readiness and Employment System (RES) contract within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This position will be a fully remote role.

• The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, testing leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• The UAT Engineer will own strategy development, scenario design, test execution coordination, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the UAT lifecycle.
• Designs, develops, and implements testing methods to ensure that the product will perform to specifications.
• Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating the product.
• Designs test cases for test plans and creates test scenarios in which tests are carried out.
• Compiles data, defines required changes, and reports defects and problems that occurred during the test process.
• Implements and participates in the walkthrough of the product.
• Consults with the development and requirements team to coordinate and test applications.
• Liaise with project team and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of testing goals.
• Performs analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products to develop testing procedures.
• Develops test plans, scripts, scenarios, functional tests, regression tests, and deployment tests.
• Implements the testing processes and ensures all test activities follow those processes.
• Produces reports on each test activity and tracks test metrics.
• Monitors for continual test process improvement through failure analysis, throughput analysis, yield analysis, and reports to management periodically.
• Provides regular reporting through documentation, dashboards, test progress reports, and executive summaries.
• Conducts status meetings, risk reviews, and post-mortem/lessons learned sessions.
• Implements best practices and frameworks (e.g., Agile, DevOps) to streamline test cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)
• 5 years of UAT experience
• Speaking/hosting to a group.
• Excellent skills with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Jira, Jira JQL, Confluence.
• Strong documenting skills.

Requirements

• Suitability/Public Trust clearance requirement.
• U.S. citizens or permanent residents that have resided continuously in the United States for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years immediately preceding their start date with GovCIO.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and project lifecycle management.
• Extensive hands-on experience with JIRA or other test management tools.
