[Hiring] Test / QA Engineer @Aretum

Role Description

Aretum is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Test / QA Engineer. As a Test / QA Engineer, you will validate system functionality, data accuracy, and integration performance.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans across system components
• Validate data pipelines and risk scoring outputs
• Test APIs and integrations
• Support UAT with stakeholders
• Automate regression testing where feasible
• Testing Types: Functional, integration, regression, UAT support
• API Testing: Postman, REST clients, automated API validation
• Data Validation: SQL queries, dataset comparison, reconciliation checks
• Test Automation: Basic scripting (Python/JavaScript), test frameworks
• Defect Tracking: Jira or similar tools
• Test Case Design: Requirements traceability, edge case identification
• Performance Testing (Basic): Load testing concepts, response validation
• CI/CD Integration: Running tests in pipelines
• Documentation: Test plans, test cases, defect reports
• Basic Understanding of Healthcare Data: Enough to validate outputs logically
• Collaboration: Working with engineers to isolate and reproduce issues

Travel Requirements

This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.

• Due to federal contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this position.
• This position supports a federal government contract and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination, depending on the agency’s background investigation requirements.
