Role Description

As an Sr. Automation Test Engineer (Java, Selenium, SQL) at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. This role is strictly involved in the development of the product and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI) & Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or any secured/confidential client data. The work is limited to application development and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health information.

• Architect, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks.
• Define automation standards, best practices, and coverage goals.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release workflows.
• Evaluate tools and technologies to improve automation efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews for automation scripts.
• Lead root cause analysis for complex defects.
• Mentor and support mid-level and junior QA engineers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of QA experience with strong emphasis on automation.
• Advanced experience with modern automation frameworks and tools.
• Strong coding skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Extensive experience with API, integration, and regression testing.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and product leadership.

Requirements

• Performance or load testing experience (JMeter, Gatling).
• Cloud-native testing experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Prior experience leading automation initiatives.
