[Hiring] Software Test Engineer @SAIC

Role Description

This position requires an active Secret Clearance and an IAT LvII Certification (i.e., Sec+). Target salary is $125-135k.

SAIC is seeking a qualified Software Test Engineer for a FULLY REMOTE position supporting our AFMS (Air Force Modeling & Simulation) program.

• Emphasis on knowledge of UI testing and test automation tools, including Playwright.
• Work within an Agile Team to plan and develop automated test scripts to support integration testing requirements.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated scripts using the program's tools and frameworks to validate integration and functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing.
• Experience in an agile testing environment including Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Experience developing automated test scripts using Java or other programming languages.
• Develop and automate tests for software validation.
• Hands on with SQL Server/MySQL/MongoDB.
• Detect bug issues, prepare defect reports, and report test progress.
• Experience with AWS Cloud Platform.
• Develop and create test cases and/or test cards.
• Create artifacts of test results and clear documentation of all executed test plans.
• Work closely with software developers and software quality analysts to resolve issues.
• Experience working as part of a team, ideally using Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• At the time of hire, possess DoD 8570 certification in IAT Level II certification or above (CompTIA Security+ CE, CASP+CE, CISSP, etc.).
• Must be a US Citizen and currently possess a Secret Clearance.
• Agile / Scrum experience.
• Bachelor's degree and nine (9) or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Familiarity with testing tools.
• Knowledge of diagramming software.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and testing procedures.
• High-level technical writing skills.
• Cloud Experience (AWS preferred, Azure okay).
