Role Description

Perform end-to-end testing of software applications to ensure functionality, usability, and compatibility across multiple platforms.

• Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and plans based on project requirements and specifications.
• Conduct thorough regression testing to identify and address any defects or inconsistencies.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Utilize SQL queries to validate data integrity and perform database testing as needed.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to provide testing updates and feedback within an agile scrum framework.
• Document and report issues, bugs, and test results accurately using designated tracking tools.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on testing best practices and methodologies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software testing techniques.

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and raise any concerns or blockers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of testing activities.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, processes, and best practices in an Agile environment.
• 4-8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on web application testing.
• Strong understanding of web application testing principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and database testing.
• Experience working in an agile scrum environment and familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Postman, SOAPUI) is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with defect tracking systems, test management tools, and Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• ISTQB or similar certification in software testing is desirable but not required.
