Role Description
We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer who combines technical expertise with a proactive, collaborative mindset. You’ll be a key contributor to how we deliver quality, leading by example and communicating effectively across disciplines to raise the bar for engineering standards.
You’ll join our dynamic and growing Product Engineering team at Storyblok, playing an instrumental role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our flagship CMS platform. This platform empowers businesses to create and deliver seamless digital content experiences.
In this role, you’ll work closely with product owners, designers, and developers to:

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field

7+ years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer

3+ years of proven experience in test automation across frontend and backend using Playwright

Strong proficiency in TypeScript with experience building scalable, maintainable automation frameworks

Comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

High attention to detail and confidence in execution

Experience in defining and driving test automation standards across teams

Experience mentoring QA engineers in test design, coding practices, and quality ownership
Requirements

Own projects end-to-end with clarity, technical excellence, and accountability

Act as a bar raiser, elevating quality and coding standards

Design, implement, and maintain efficient and reliable automated tests across frontend and backend using Playwright and TypeScript

Think strategically about test automation; collaborate with developers to ensure balanced test coverage

Contribute to and evolve the overall testing strategy

Prepare and review test plans to validate both functional and non-functional requirements
-
Perform manual and exploratory testing; document, track, and verify defects
-
Analyze test results and monitor key testing metrics

Participate actively in project kick-offs to understand requirements

Advocate for user experience and product quality

Identify and communicate issues, risks, or dependencies early
-
Mentor and support teammates, fostering an open, empathetic environment
