[Hiring] Senior AI-Assisted Test Automation Engineer @EPAM Systems

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join a product engineering team responsible for developing and modernizing applications used to manage complex healthcare-related data, including reference catalogs, treatment protocols, and clinical guidance. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of .NET and React applications as part of a modernization initiative, transitioning legacy systems to a modern application architecture.

You will combine test automation, API and UI testing, database validation, and AI-assisted quality engineering practices. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to development tasks and collaborate closely with engineers in a product-focused Agile environment.

Working Hours: Availability is required until 12:00 PM Eastern Time (ET).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and maintainability of modern web applications
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and reusable test solutions
• Perform API testing and automation using tools such as Postman and REST-based testing frameworks
• Develop and maintain UI automation using Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent tools
• Validate database operations, data integrity, and application behavior using SQL
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support quality gates throughout build and deployment processes
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate test case design, test automation, defect analysis, and test documentation
• Explore and apply modern quality engineering practices, including AI-driven approaches to test automation
• Support occasional development tasks using technologies such as C#, .NET, Python, or similar enterprise technologies
• Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, and other team members to identify issues, troubleshoot defects, and improve overall product quality
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering best practices
• Adapt to changing priorities and support the team across testing and development activities as needed

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in software engineering, preferably with C#, .NET, Python, or similar enterprise technologies
• Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks
• Hands-on experience with API testing and automation, including REST APIs and tools such as Postman
• Experience with UI test automation using Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test integration
• SQL and database testing skills, including data validation
• Experience working in Agile development teams
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar solutions
• Ability to apply AI tools to improve testing efficiency, generate test scenarios, support automation development, analyze defects, and maintain documentation
• Understanding of modern quality engineering practices and AI-assisted or AI-driven testing approaches
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to contribute to development tasks alongside QA responsibilities
• Flexible, collaborative mindset and readiness to support evolving team priorities
• Experience working in a product-focused engineering team, with close collaboration between QA and software development
