[Hiring] Quality Engineer - Automation @CVS Health

Role Description

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise applications. This role works closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC, reduce manual testing effort, and accelerate release cycles through robust automation frameworks and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in QA automation engineering
• Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks for UI and API testing (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, BDD, REST-based testing tools)
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python)
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments with sprint-based delivery
• Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and test methodologies
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools

Requirements

• Familiarity with healthcare domain and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) processes
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience automating test data setup and environment validations
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for testing environments
• Strong SQL skills for backend validation

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
