[Hiring] Quality Control Auditor @Arc Home

Role Description

Arc Home is excited to add a Quality Control Auditor to our team to work standard business hours in the time zone in which you live within the US. Wholesale and/or Non-delegated Correspondent experience and a strong underwriting and compliance background are required. We need someone who is highly analytical but able to make decisions, who can blend speed with accuracy.

The Quality Control Auditor is responsible for reviewing and remediating due diligence findings related to Credit, Valuation, and Compliance that are issued by the Third-Party Review (TPR) firms for securitization purposes. The Quality Control Auditor knows how to review and remediate conditions and understands all required documents in a mortgage loan file, with a primary focus in Non-QM products, such as, but not limited to:

• Bank statement loans
• Foreign national loans
• Debt service cover ratio (DSCR) loans

The Quality Control Auditor also has strong knowledge of RESPA/TILA prohibitions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Complete operational post-closing audits, review and verify loan documentation for accuracy, integrity, adherence to quality standards and guidelines.
• Review Underwriting of Non-QM including DSCR, Bank Statement, and Foreign National loans.
• Review, verify, and clear exceptions with provided supporting documentation.
• Re-Calculate income, asset, and debt in accordance with lender and federal guidelines.
• Review, verify, and clear exceptions within Drive Reports, Mavent Reviews, and ComplianceEase.
• Handle ASF review comparison of the LOS data to the TPR firm data for final sign off.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of underwriting procedures and real estate appraisal requirements
• Broad knowledge of creditor financial analysis techniques and mortgage credit evaluation
• Thorough knowledge of compliance regulations
• Strong knowledge of investor/insurer guidelines, applicable laws, regulations, company audit policies/procedures
• Detailed understanding of mortgage documentation and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g. allowable fees, TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID), exception tolerances, and completing self-employed analysis)
• Experience with FHA/VA/USDA/FNMA/FHLMC/Consumer Loans
• Significant experience with Non-QM loans
• Meridianlink experience a plus
• Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills
• Demonstrated experience with operational and data interpretation, analysis, and reporting
• Highly professional and well-poised in communication with staff, executive leadership, and external parties
• Ability to support multiple tasks, with varying levels of complexity, importance and involvement in a high-volume environment
• Advanced analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• High degree of attention to detail and organization
• Strong PC skills, including Word and Excel

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education / experience preferred
• Wholesale and/or Non-delegated Correspondent experience required
• 5+ years of mortgage experience – specifically in consumer lending, quality control / monitoring / assurance, loan origination, risk management, and/or regulatory compliance
