Role Description

We’re looking for a QA Engineer who can take ownership of product quality, identify issues early, and work closely with developers and product teams to deliver reliable software.

• Understand product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify testing requirements.
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and checklists.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and usability testing across web applications.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Work closely with developers and Product Managers to investigate and resolve issues.
• Perform API testing and validate backend responses, data, and integrations.
• Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience.
• Participate in requirement discussions and identify potential edge cases and quality risks before development is completed.
• Perform regression testing for new releases and ensure existing functionality is not affected.
• Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards, and release workflows.
• Support automation initiatives where applicable and identify opportunities to reduce repetitive manual testing.
• Take ownership of the quality of features from requirement analysis through release.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing/QA, preferably with web applications.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Strong experience with functional and regression testing.
• Good understanding of API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
• Basic to good understanding of SQL/database testing.
• Experience working with bug-tracking and project-management tools such as Jira, Asana, or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and an ability to identify edge cases.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful test scenarios.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with developers and product teams.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Requirements

• Experience with automation testing using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript or another programming language.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Experience testing SaaS products, APIs, third-party integrations, or AI-powered applications.
• Experience with performance, security, or accessibility testing.
