Role Description
We at Stalwart Innovations Pvt Ltd are seeking a passionate and skilled QA/Automation Engineer to join our remote team and contribute to ensuring the quality of our software solutions for a global client.
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases
- Build and maintain automated test scripts
- Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements
- Perform thorough manual testing of software applications, including functional, integration, system, and regression testing
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla)
- Collaborate with developers to understand the root cause of defects and ensure timely resolution
- Participate in the review of requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process and methodologies
- Perform performance testing and identify potential bottlenecks (desirable)
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality assurance (desirable)
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in software testing
Qualifications
- 15 years of hands-on experience in software Quality Assurance (QA) and test automation
- Proven ability to perform various types of manual testing with a strong understanding of testing methodologies
- Hands-on experience with at least one popular test automation tool or framework (Selenium WebDriver with Java/Python/C#, Cypress, Playwright)
- Solid understanding of at least one programming language relevant to test automation (Java, Python, JavaScript, C#)
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured) and techniques
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr)
- Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and QA processes within Agile methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate testing results and collaborate with the team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot software defects
Requirements
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) (nice to have)
- Experience with mobile application testing (iOS and Android) (nice to have)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests (nice to have)
- Familiarity with database testing (SQL) (nice to have)
