Role Description
The Quality Assurance II has a solid foundation in software testing and a strong drive for quality. As a mid-level QA professional, they play a key role in planning, designing, and executing manual and automated tests to ensure the functionality and stability of our public safety applications. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive quality across the software development lifecycle.
What You Do

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans based on product requirements and user stories.

Evaluate that test case acceptance criteria has been met.

Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure product quality throughout the release cycle.

Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide feedback to stakeholders.

Maintain and enhance test scripts, frameworks, and automation suites.

Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to improving QA best practices.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support team objectives, departmental needs, and overall organizational priorities.
Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience and training.

2-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance or relevant testing role.

Proficient in writing test cases, executing tests, and logging bugs.

Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Postman, etc.

Experience with testing APIs, web applications, and/or mobile applications.

Experience using test management and bug tracking tools such as Gitlab, Jira, TestRail.

Experience working in Agile development environments.

Exposure to CI/CD tooling, such as Gitlab, GitHub Actions, etc.

Ability to approach problems methodically and seek solutions with minimal guidance.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and methodologies.

Clearance: Ability to pass a criminal background check for CJIS security requirements.

Part 107 Drone Pilot license.
Requirements
-
Austin, Texas location preferred.

ISTQB or relevant certifications.

Familiarity with AI tooling in development workflows.
