Robert Half is seeking a QA Engineer IV ATI to develop and execute test plans and functional (Automated and Manual) use cases to ensure that products meet user needs and business requirements. The QA Engineer IV ATI develops and maintains a testing strategy that includes design, execution, and documentation of test cases, defects tracking, and test coverage analysis. Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to enhance the overall effectiveness of system and overall solution testing strategies. Coordinates project resources including employees, contractors, remote testers at vendor location(s), in testing of various RH software and/or hardware solutions. Partners with IT Verticals and Business teams regularly to achieve system verification and validation objectives. Provides technical guidance to IT Verticals and Business teams regarding quality processes, tools, and methodologies to establish an effective and efficient quality culture. What You'll Do Design, implement and maintain the Quality Services testing environments. Review and collaborate on most complex testing activities. Responsible for ensuring epic test estimates are provided. Regularly reviews testing processes and recommends new processes and workflows as necessary to improve product quality and efficiency across large, complex projects. Plans and Estimates project work effort (functional and non-functional). Effectively provide and communicate estimates, assumptions, benefits, and risks to all levels of management. Collaborate with technical experts, business systems analyst and product owners to review epics across teams to provide high level estimates for future releases. Provide guidance to test leads on estimation of complex stories at the sprint and project level. Leverages expert knowledge to improve existing processes and tools while also thinking creatively to find or develop new solutions to support RH's product delivery demands. Provide technical guidance and review test Approach strategies/test Plans including cases, objectives, scripts, expected results, and requirements mapping. Review, select and implement testing and quality management/measurement tools to support RHI’s product delivery demands. Define new and complex test strategies and resolve issues in approach and design. Propose mitigation plans on any risks identified. Plans and leads enterprise wide and cross system data migration testing strategy. Partners with the automation team on tools and strategies. Design, implement and maintain the Quality Services testing environments for their program. Draws on in-depth experience with system verification and validation testing to write and maintain detailed test cases/scripts that are aligned with user and business needs; provides helpful feedback to other quality staff to ensure excellence in testing. Reviews business requirements, functional specifications, and user information to understand end user requirements and business process context. Review with appropriate SMEs to validate understanding. Networks with other teams to ensure thorough input on system/solution needs. Design/maintain test plans including cycles, cases/conditions, expected results and requirement mapping. Reviews the teams’ regression suites to ensure all functionality is covered by the regression suites. Plans and leads data migration testing strategy and implementation for highly complex stories. Assists the automation team by removing roadblocks for automation. Research and verify issues as required. Provide appropriate detail to document issue for development team and context regarding impact and priority. Review issue reporting progress and process to ensure timely reporting visibility. Provides expert direction to other system testers. Regularly reviews verification and validation procedures and makes necessary improvements, ensuring that other quality staff are fully trained in new processes. Seeks new ways to improve the verification and validation process. Facilitate issue resolution with functional and technical groups on the most complex systems and solutions keeping senior leadership updated on the process. Educate/train/mentor testing staff and Business/Development peers. Provide leadership, mentoring and work guidance to test engineers. Can oversee multiple complex projects and coordinates the test activities across multiple test areas or disciplines (functional and non-functional). Drive issues across testing organization to resolution - working with development manager, release manager, program manager, system owner. Identify skills required and participate in the interview process for more experienced test resources and provide hiring recommendations to QA manager. Review and collaborate to orchestrate testing across departments on complex production work plans. Plans and leads data migration testing strategy and implementation. Writes and executes complex queries to verity conversion and data migration. Provides expert direction to members of the testing team during execution of tests and logging issues. Partners with the automation team to ensure successful development and execution of automated test scripts. Contributes expert knowledge in meeting with multiple participants (technical and non-technical). Leverages expertise to educate and mentor engineers across IT. Keeps management informed on progress against work plan, including risks and issues. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in related field or certification or equivalent experience. 10+ years product testing and verification or related experience required. Expert experience with software test planning, execution and validation, expertise with various testing tools and methods (such as SQL, Robot Framework, QTest, Jira, ServiceNow). Demonstrated expertise with test environment managements, test collaboration, tools selection and implementation in a medium to large company with a global environment. Expert knowledge of business process and data flow identification and documentation. Demonstrated expertise with testing application interfaces (API) and data conversion. Expert knowledge of a specific application/technology. Expert understanding of hardware architectures. Experience with scripting preferred. Experienced with industry standard code review practices. Experience designing and implementing Cloud (AWS preferred) base testing environments. Extensive experience with mobile applications, as required. Advanced experience with database types (Relational, Object Oriented, Graph), schema tables, triggers, and query language (SQL, SOQL) preferred. Expert knowledge of the overall application development life cycle. Agile preferred. Ability to conduct test planning and execution with off-site resources. Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret business acumen. Capable of balancing multiple priorities and remain flexible in a changing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Strong professional judgment with the ability to appropriately influence others as needed. Experience in Workday/PeopleSoft Finance and HR technology. The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
