[Hiring] QA Engineer @SwingDev–a hippo company

Role Description

As a QA Engineer, you will:

• Collaborate deeply with 1-2 Engineering teams, participating in the development of new features and initiatives.
• Engage in initial requirement analysis, test planning, execution, regression testing, and final release sign-off.
• Partner closely with Product Managers to prioritize testing efforts, clarify requirements, and advocate for customer needs.
• Work with SDETs to expand and maintain automated test coverage for new features and regression testing.
• Collaborate with other manual QA engineers on cross-team and cross-BU projects.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA experience, focusing on manual testing (Black Box, White Box, and Grey Box).
• Good knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or Swagger, including validation of API requests and responses.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL for data validation and query writing.
• Understanding of testing integration, functional, end-to-end, and API tests.
• Experience with test case design, execution, and reporting for complex systems (front-end and back-end).
• Ability to create test cases in collaboration with PMs.
• Experience with test case management tools, preferably Xray.
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Independent problem solver and collaborative team player.
• Great command of English (written & spoken) and at least basic Polish.
• Availability in the afternoons for occasional evening meetings.

Requirements

• Experience with Jira and agile testing methodologies is a plus.
• Experience with big data/data warehouse is a plus.
