Role Description

ECS is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to work remotely. We are looking for a candidate with experience in end-to-end testing, test automation, performance testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to join the Professional Services team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive testing strategy across:

• Functional testing
• Integration testing
• Automation testing
• Performance testing
• Security testing
• Regression testing
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

The ideal candidate will have experience validating complex web applications, APIs, data platforms, and third-party integrations. This individual will work closely with:

• Engineering teams
• Technical leadership
• Customer stakeholders

to ensure solutions meet functional requirements, performance expectations, security controls, and release readiness criteria. Candidates should have hands-on experience with automation frameworks and testing tools such as:

• Selenium
• Playwright
• Python-based testing solutions
• Jira
• Confluence
• Performance testing tools such as Locust

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience with UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
• Strong background in Software Quality Assurance (SW QA)
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective test cases
• Experience identifying and documenting defects clearly and concisely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Effective communication skills for cross-team collaboration

Requirements

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, end-to-end, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Define test strategies, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and release readiness metrics in collaboration with project stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for web applications, APIs, and integrated workflows.
• Perform end-to-end testing across frontend applications, APIs, Databricks environments, and third-party platform integrations.
• Validate integrations spanning web applications, backend services, data platforms, and external systems.
• Execute functional testing across multiple user personas and business workflows.
• Coordinate and facilitate multiple rounds of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document findings, validate remediation efforts, and support final release approvals.
• Design and execute performance and load testing using tools such as Locust, validating system behavior under concurrent user activity and identifying performance bottlenecks.
• Perform regression testing to ensure software quality and system stability prior to production releases.
• Validate role-based access controls, security requirements, governance controls, and data access restrictions.
• Identify, document, classify, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with engineers, TPMs, product owners, and customer stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Produce testing reports, quality metrics, defect summaries, and release recommendations.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage testing activities, document results, and track defects and remediation efforts.

Benefits

• Salary Range: $140,000-$165,000
