Role Description
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to support the development of a modern, cloud-based payment infrastructure. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will contribute to building and maintaining automation frameworks, validating backend systems, and ensuring overall software reliability. You will work closely with engineering, product, and QA teams, playing a key role in delivering stable and high-quality releases in a fast-paced environment. This is not a purely manual or task-based role; we are looking for someone who can take ownership, understand systems deeply, and contribute to improving quality practices.
Location: Remote (Portugal, Cyprus and Poland)

Responsibilities

Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Python (PyTest, Selenium)

Create and execute test cases based on new feature implementations

Perform API and backend testing, ensuring correct system behavior and data integrity

Conduct manual testing when needed to ensure full coverage

Analyze logs and system flows to identify issues and understand root causes

Identify, document, and track defects with clear evidence and reproduction steps

Collaborate closely with engineers and product teams to improve quality and delivery

Contribute to delivering stable, reliable software in a complex system environment
Qualifications

3+ years of experience in QA Automation

Strong hands-on experience with:

Experience with API and backend testing

Ability to design and structure clear, maintainable test cases

Strong debugging skills, including working with logs and system behavior

Good communication skills and ability to explain technical topics clearly

Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
Nice to Have

Experience in payments, fintech, or e-commerce platforms

Understanding of transaction flows or distributed systems

Exposure to cloud-based environments or microservices architectures

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
