Role Description

We're looking for an amazing Mobile QA Engineer to join our growing team and help push this product on to the next 100 million users.

Performing manual testing for mobile (iOS & Android), Web, and API
Designing, executing, and maintaining test cases and test plans for mobile applications
Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs efficiently, ensuring high-quality mobile releases
Developing and maintaining test automation for web, mobile and API
Planning and executing on QA tooling implementation for future use in Storyteller
Incorporating best practices of QA processes to match our impressive project delivery pace
Spotting things that others miss and analysing problems to reach the root cause
Eventually, spreading the knowledge and enthusiasm of Quality Assurance techniques with your dev team
Working with developers to improve our Continuous Integration
Coordinating, training, and mentoring other future members of our QA team

Qualifications

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies for Web and Mobile applications
Hands-on experience testing iOS and Android applications across different devices, OS versions and screen sizes
Experience with manual mobile testing tools (e.g., Android Studio, Xcode, Charles Proxy, Proxyman, ADB commands)
Strong API testing abilities. Familiarity with Postman, REST API and HTTP
Experience with Mobile testing techniques
Experience with a test management tool like TestRail or similar
Experience with Javascript Test Frameworks (e.g. Cypress)
Strong interest in the latest mobile trends and techs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work closely with others
Excellent analytical skills. You know how to prioritize and have a keen eye for detail and high quality
Proactive mindset. Your curiosity, resourcefulness and ability to work independently help drive us on

Requirements

An ISEB or ISTQB certification (nice to have)
Coding proficiency in one or more languages, preferably Javascript (nice to have)
Source code control and build tools, solid understanding of software design patterns (nice to have)
A degree in IT, Electronics, Computing, Physics or related discipline (nice to have)
An active Github profile with involvement in open source projects (nice to have)
Experience with Web automation tools (Cypress or any JS automation framework) is a big plus (nice to have)
Experience with cloud hosting and CI platforms, preferably Azure DevOps (nice to have)
Web debugging proxy tool expertise. Preferred experience with Charles, Proxyman or other HTTP debugging proxy server applications (nice to have)
Experience with integration of automated testing into CI/CD setup (Github Actions) (nice to have)

Recruitment Process

First, you will be given access to a video interview platform, where you'll answer some questions.
If successful, you'll be invited to a technical interview with Latif, QA Team Lead.
If we think there's a fit, we’ll invite you to complete a short technical test.
Finally, we’ll invite you to meet Dave, CTO, Filip, Head of Mobile, and Latif to present your task.
