Role Description
This role involves ensuring the accuracy, performance, and integration of data lakes through manual QA testing.
- Conduct thorough manual QA testing of data lakes, ensuring seamless data integration and processing across platforms.
- Develop and execute SQL queries for testing data accuracy, integrity, and performance.
- Collaborate with developers to test data flows in Data Lake environments and validate ETL processes.
- Participate in automation efforts around Data Lake testing and contribute to improving testing efficiency.
- Work with the team to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Identify, track, and manage defects through effective reporting and documentation.
- Ensure high standards of data quality and accuracy across systems.
- Continuously improve testing strategies, processes, and frameworks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in QA testing, with hands-on experience in testing Data Lakes and related integrations.
- Solid experience with Data Lake architecture on AWS or Azure.
- Strong proficiency with SQL for querying, testing, and validating data.
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools like Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency in version control systems like GIT.
- A strong understanding of the SDLC, especially in data-driven environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends in technology and QA best practices.
- High attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and correctness in all testing scenarios.
Requirements
- Experience in automation around Data Lake testing.
- Familiarity with BigQuery or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
