[Hiring] Junior QA Engineer @Storyteller

Role Description

We are looking for an amazing Junior QA Engineer to extend our capabilities in delivering rich and engaging user experiences.

• Performing manual tests
• Planning and executing test cases and test plans
• Communicate urgent bugs, issues, and improvements to the development team
• Incorporating best practices of QA processes to match our project delivery pace
• Spotting things that others miss and analysing problems to reach the root cause
• Eventually, spread the knowledge and enthusiasm of Quality Assurance techniques with your dev team
• Work with developers to improve our Continuous Integration

Qualifications

• Understanding of software testing methodologies for Web and Mobile applications
• API testing abilities. Familiarity with Postman, REST API and HTTP
• Experience with a test management tool like TestRail or similar
• Strong interest in the latest mobile trends and techs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work closely with others
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and high quality
• Proactive mindset with curiosity and resourcefulness

Requirements

• An ISEB or ISTQB certification (nice to have)
• Coding proficiency in one or more languages, preferably Javascript (nice to have)
• Source code control and build tools, solid understanding of software design patterns (nice to have)
• A degree in IT, Electronics, Computing, Physics or related discipline (nice to have)
• An active Github profile with involvement in open source projects (nice to have)
• Experience with Web automation tools (Cypress or any JS automation framework) (big plus)
• Experience with cloud hosting and CI platforms, preferably Azure DevOps (nice to have)
• Web debugging proxy tool expertise, preferred experience with Charles, Proxyman or other HTTP debugging proxy server applications (nice to have)
