Role Description
As our Intermediate QA Automation Engineer, you will be the dedicated quality owner for the Marketing Engineering squad at Employment Hero. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to fast-moving environments, takes pride in preventing issues before they happen, and wants to grow from strong manual QA into test automation.

Own the end-to-end quality of our marketing websites, ensuring every release is reliable and regression-free.

Test new features, fixes and templates across Web, WordPress and API integrations.

Build clear test cases, regression checklists and QA standards for the squad.

Work with PMs and developers to clarify requirements early and prevent gaps before development starts.

Improve processes around documentation, version control and deployment discipline.

Start with hands-on manual testing while progressively introducing automation for high-value flows.

Develop lightweight automated tests and integrate them into our CI/CD pipeline over time.

Identify inefficiencies and propose smarter, faster ways to ensure quality at scale.
Qualifications

You have at least 5 years of experience as a QA Engineer across manual and automation testing.

You have strong experience testing web applications end to end.

You have hands-on experience using automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Detox or Maestro.

You are comfortable working with JavaScript or TypeScript in modern web automation frameworks and have practical experience writing or maintaining automation scripts.

You can write clear, structured test cases, regression checklists and detailed bug reports.

You have familiarity with REST API testing and can validate API behaviour as part of end-to-end testing.

You communicate clearly, proactively seek clarification when requirements are incomplete and collaborate effectively with engineers and PMs.

You maintain high attention to detail and can identify inconsistencies and potential risks early.

You think long term and look for ways to automate or streamline repetitive testing activities.
Requirements

You have experience working with WordPress template hierarchy or other CMS workflows.

You have exposure to CI/CD pipelines that run automated tests.

You have supported marketing websites, SEO-related features or tracking integrations.

You have experience setting up or improving QA processes in small or fast-moving teams.
