[Hiring] Freelance Senior QA Analyst @HugeInc

Role Description

Huge is looking for a Freelance Senior QA Analyst who combines strong manual and automation testing expertise with a sharp eye for visual quality, accessibility, and frontend consistency. In this role, you won’t only validate functionality, you will help protect the integrity of the user experience across digital products and creative deliverables.

You will work closely with Production, QA, Design, and Engineering teams to ensure high-volume testing quality and efficiency across CMS-driven environments and modern frontend applications. The ideal candidate understands that quality is not only about bugs, but also about semantic clarity, accessibility, visual consistency, and user experience intent.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Quality Assurance & Testing
  • Perform manual and automated testing for frontend and web applications.
  • Validate CMS-driven experiences and ensure content consistency across environments.
  • Execute regression, smoke, exploratory, and end-to-end testing activities.
  • Identify, document, and communicate bugs, inconsistencies, and usability issues clearly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and production teams to ensure high-quality releases.
• Accessibility & Visual Validation
  • Perform accessibility testing with a strong understanding of WCAG principles and accessibility best practices.
  • Apply human visual judgment to validate design intent, semantic clarity, readability, and overall visual consistency.
  • Execute visual regression testing by comparing assets against baselines, mocks, or style guides.
  • Review creative deliverables and flag critical legibility or UI inconsistencies across screens and breakpoints.
• Collaboration & Process Excellence
  • Support high-volume QA operations while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure testing efficiency and release quality.
  • Contribute to improving QA workflows, testing documentation, and validation processes.
  • Work alongside automated QA tools and scripts when needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA Engineering or QA Analysis roles.
• Strong experience with both manual and automation testing.
• Experience testing CMS-driven environments and frontend/web applications.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of accessibility testing and WCAG principles.
• Experience performing visual regression testing and validating UI consistency.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Design, Production, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume digital environments.

Requirements

• Experience working with automated QA tools/scripts.
• Experience supporting creative or design-heavy digital products.
• This is a freelance remote opportunity.
• Candidates must have availability from June 1 through June 30.
• Total expected workload: 212 hours.
• Candidates are expected to use their own equipment.
• Advanced English level required (B2+ preferred).
• If the selected candidate holds a degree in Engineering or a related profession, they must present their professional license.
