Role Description
The Director of CPI Quality Assurance reports directly to the Director of Quality Assurance and performs advanced (senior-level) managerial work providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning of the Child Protective Investigations Quality Assurance Team. Work involves:

Establishing the strategic plan and goals and objectives.

Developing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
-
Establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting goals.

Coordinating and evaluating program activities or business functions.
-
Reviewing and approving budgets within departments or divisions.
-
Supervising the work of others.
-
Working under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance, this position directs comprehensive quality assurance program activities for the CPI QA team.
The position oversees staff that:

Conduct quality assurance reviews related to CPI functions and processes.

Gather, organize, and analyze data that demonstrates the progress of quality assurance assessments, reviews, and initiatives.
Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in public administration, business, and human services or closely related field of study.

Preferred Criteria:
-
DFPS experience.
-
Experience conducting quality assurance reads or leading a quality assurance team.

Specialized training or certifications related to quality assurance.

Experience in data analysis, program evaluation, and performance management strategies.
Requirements

Ability to maintain the security and integrity of the infrastructure per Governor Abbott Executive Order GA-48.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program activities and/or business functions.

Knowledge of Child Protective Investigations.

Knowledge of the child welfare system and child welfare practices.

Knowledge of quality assurance practices.

Knowledge of principles of leadership and management of personnel.

Skill in establishing plans and setting objectives and goals that support an overall business strategy.

Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
