Role Description
A Cypress Architect is a specialized role focusing on designing and implementing test automation frameworks using Cypress, a popular end-to-end testing tool for web applications.
- Test Automation Framework Design: Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Cypress and Playwright to ensure comprehensive test coverage and efficient test execution.
- Scripting and Development: Write and optimize automated test scripts using JavaScript or TypeScript, adhering to best coding practices to enhance readability and maintainability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and product managers, to understand application requirements and design effective test strategies.
- Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and rapid feedback cycles.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge on test automation best practices and tools.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years in QA automation testing, with substantial experience in using Cypress and Playwright for test automation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of web technologies and browser internals.
- Testing Expertise: Extensive experience in automating functional, API, and database tests, ensuring end-to-end test coverage.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex requirements, design effective test scenarios, and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Additional Tools: Familiarity with other test automation tools such as Selenium or WebDriverIO.
- Performance Testing: Experience in performance testing and analysis to ensure application scalability and reliability.
- Cloud Services: Knowledge of cloud platforms and services, contributing to scalable and distributed test environments.
