Role Description

The SAP PP/QM Tester is responsible for validating and ensuring the quality of SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) solutions within a manufacturing environment. The role involves preparing test scenarios, executing test cycles, identifying defects, and supporting SAP S/4HANA implementation projects to ensure business requirements are met and processes function as designed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years of SAP testing experience with focus on SAP PP and QM modules.
• Mandatory experience in at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation project within a manufacturing industry.
• Experience in Functional, Integration, and UAT testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to document and execute test cases effectively.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

• Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation and testing activities for PP and QM modules.
• Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and process designs for manufacturing operations.
• Design, prepare, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test data for PP and QM processes.
• Perform Functional, Integration, Regression, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and End-to-End process validation.
• Validate manufacturing processes including:
  • Material Master
  • Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Routings
  • Work Centers
  • Production Orders
  • MRP
  • Demand Management
  • Quality Inspection
  • Quality Notifications
  • Batch Management
• Testing Skills required:
  • Functional Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • End-to-End Business Process Testing
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Regression Testing
  • Defect Management and Tracking
  • Test Scenario, Test Case & Test Script Preparation
  • Test Data Creation and Validation
  • Defect Retesting and Closure
  • Cutover and Go-Live Validation
• Log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with Functional Consultants, Business Users, Developers, and Integration Teams to resolve issues.
• Support data validation and reconciliation activities during migration and cutover phases.
• Prepare test execution reports and provide status updates to project stakeholders.
• Support hyper care and post-go-live validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and testing best practices.
• Exposure of SAP FIORI Applications.

Preferred Requirements

• Master's degree or SAP Certification preferred.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager, ALM, JIRA or other testing tools.
• Exposure to MES, EWM, MM, or SD integration.
• SAP S/4HANA certification in PP or QM.
• Knowledge of automated testing tools is an advantage.
