[Hiring] Technology Delivery Manager - Distributed Energy Resource Management System @GE Vernova

Role Description

The Technology Delivery Manager - Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS), is a pivotal part of the GE Vernova services organization, who is accountable for the successful delivery of DERMS project implementations.

The DERMS Technology Delivery Manager will provide technical leadership in pre-sales and delivery phases to clients, cross-functional GE teams and key suppliers, to identify and define client business outcomes and continue to manage those relationships to ensure outcomes are met within project constraints.

They will play a key leadership role in defining, implementing and maintaining the internal Project Engineering team’s best practices and delivery standards across existing and new opportunities, and be responsible for defining priorities in terms of scope, resourcing, timeline in case of multiple conflicting project deliveries. The role requires high levels of operational judgment and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering Discipline from an accredited university or college
• Strong electricity industry knowledge, with 5+ years relevant work experience in the energy industry
• Strong analysis skills including requirements elicitation and management skills
• Understanding of how to trace a requirement to a design specification and the test plans / cases
• Ability to work across different time zones and respond to contact outside normal working hours

Requirements

• Share responsibility with the GE Services Project Manager (PM) for scope management, schedule, risk management, and quality management
• Accountable for the end-to-end software delivery to meet the schedule, cost and quality commitments
• Project Execution control: Build effective Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and accurately track, update, and report task activity progress
• Communicate effectively with Project Manager, Customer, Project team (APAC and global), DevOps on project and technical items
• Trigger and validate engineering Gate Reviews (Requirements, Design, Factory Testing Readiness, Site Acceptance Readiness)
• Utilize software delivery performance measurement tools and indicators (e.g. Smartsheets)
• Respond to all client inquiries, bugs, and product ideas for in-flight projects
• Analyze and assess data and results of project activities and tasks
• Hands-On experience, with certification a plus, in managing projects that deployed solutions to the AWS cloud
• Report on project outcomes and present findings to project partners and stakeholders
• Collaborate with Service Engineering development lead during the development cycle
• Agile mindset and ability to work with one or more Scrum Teams
• Utilize GE Product knowledge and expertise to drive excellence in execution
• Good understanding of DevOps concepts to lead customers and apply those concepts to daily deliverables
• Validate project scope review in coordination with the Solution Design team
• Assist in the tendering process for project proposals or change requests
• Ensure a smooth transition to maintenance team at the end of the project
• Technical Leadership of the delivery and implementation of large complex solutions
• Analyze, define and prioritize Business and Functional requirements and processes
• Responsible for the Business requirements through the entire lifecycle of the project
• Create and maintain relationships with key decision makers, stakeholders and 3rd Parties
• Participate and lead technical requirements workshops
• Write and present technical proposals and presentations
• Ability to take ownership of issues and get them resolved using self-driven initiative
