Role Description

Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified candidates for a Program Manager position to provide overall program leadership and serve as the single point of accountability for contractor performance supporting Peraton and the customer. The Program Manager will oversee program execution across all four contract task areas, ensuring performance meets contractual requirements, schedules, quality standards, and customer expectations.

You will lead program planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, Agile execution, transition activities, subcontractor management, and performance reporting. The Program Manager will serve as the primary interface with the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC), Contracting Officer/Contracting Officer’s Representative (CO/COR), and Government stakeholders.

The Program Manager will ensure effective coordination across contractor teams and subcontractors, maintain program visibility through management dashboards and reporting, and drive timely resolution of schedule, staffing, cost, performance, and operational issues.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Serve as the single point of accountability to the customer POC for all contractor performance across all four contract task areas.
• Schedule, coordinate, and host the Project Kick-Off Meeting, ensuring participation by all required Key Personnel.
• Convene and chair monthly Technical Status Meetings with customer and Government stakeholders.
• Develop, deliver, and maintain the Monthly Status Report (MSR), including personnel gains and losses, cost by Contract Line Item Number (CLIN), schedule status, program performance, and corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously update the Project Management Plan (PMP) and Agile Roadmap, incorporating Government feedback and comments.
• Provide monthly Agile Roadmap briefings covering 30-, 60-, and 90-day schedules, critical dependencies, milestones, and schedule risks.
• Oversee and coordinate all contractor travel authorizations and Trip Report submissions.
• Maintain the Management Dashboard with real-time or near-real-time program, personnel, schedule, cost, and performance data.
• Lead Transition-In execution and ensure all required transition activities are completed within 90 calendar days of the Project Kick-Off.
• Develop and deliver the Transition-Out Plan within six months of performance start and implement the plan no later than six months before contract expiration.
• Manage and oversee subcontractor performance and other program teammates.
• Monitor program execution across multiple workstreams to ensure contractual requirements, milestones, deliverables, and performance objectives are achieved.
• Identify, assess, and communicate program risks, issues, dependencies, and corrective actions to Government and contractor leadership.
• Establish and maintain effective program governance, communication, reporting, and escalation processes.
• Coordinate cross-functional contractor resources to ensure successful execution of program requirements and delivery commitments.
• Apply Agile program management practices to support iterative planning, execution, prioritization, and delivery.
• Ensure program documentation, status reporting, schedules, roadmaps, and management artifacts remain accurate, current, and compliant with contractual requirements.
• Monitor staffing, personnel changes, cost performance, schedule performance, and other program metrics to identify potential impacts to contract execution.
• Drive continuous process improvement across program management, reporting, transition, governance, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance and a DEA suitability determination.
• 10+ years of IT program and/or project management experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing programs of comparable scope and complexity; experience with programs exceeding $100M in annual contract value preferred.
• PMP Certification.
• ITIL v4 Foundation or higher certification.
• SAFe Agilist or SAFe Program Consultant certification.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple workstreams, contractor teams, and subcontractors within a complex federal IT environment.
• Experience developing and managing Program Management Plans, Agile Roadmaps, schedules, status reports, risk registers, and other program management artifacts.
• Experience leading Government-facing meetings, briefings, program reviews, and executive-level communications.
• Experience managing program transitions, including Transition-In and Transition-Out activities.
• Strong understanding of Agile program management methodologies and scaled Agile practices.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, resolve complex program issues, and operate effectively in a high-visibility federal program environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMI Certification.
• FAC-P/PM Certification.
• TS/SCI Clearance.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Prior Department of Justice (DOJ), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), or federal law enforcement IT experience strongly preferred.

Benefits

• Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
• Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
