[Hiring] Senior Technical Program Manager @Chainguard

Role Description

Chainguard's Developer Platform team keeps Platform, Platform Developers, and Integrations moving — three teams with big roadmaps and, right now, no product manager on the ground translating strategy into logistics. That gap is where this role lives. You'll partner with engineering managers and product to help shape and validate what each team is building, then own the harder problem: turning that plan into something that actually ships, with clear sequencing, visible risk, and fast adjustments when reality doesn't match the plan. This is an individual contributor role with real scope — you're not managing people, but you're the reason three teams stay coordinated instead of colliding.

What you'll do:

• Partner with EMs and product across Platform, Platform Developers, and Integrations to help shape and validate roadmaps
• Translate roadmap decisions into concrete delivery plans — sequencing, dependencies, ownership
• Own execution day-to-day: track progress, surface risk early, and drive plan adjustments as priorities shift
• Run weekly metric reporting and support quarterly planning in Linear
• Communicate progress and changes clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional partners
• Help onboard new teammates into existing processes and systems of work
• Use AI tools to move faster in your own workflow — this is expected of everyone on the team, TPMs included

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a technical program manager or program/project manager in a software development environment — security experience is not required
• A track record of building and executing delivery plans across multiple engineering teams, adjusting as priorities change
• Strong stakeholder management across EMs, product managers, and engineers — no translation layer needed
• Technical fluency: you understand how software gets built, even if you're not writing code day-to-day
• Strong written communication skills to a variety of audiences
• Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to get more done in your own role

Requirements

• Familiarity with container or software supply chain security concepts
• Experience building lightweight automations or tools (AI-assisted or otherwise) to cut toil from your own TPM workflow
