[Hiring] Senior Technical Program Manager @Zillow

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager who can effectively lead the development and ongoing success of large scale media solutions. You will operate as a strategic execution leader, aligning Product, Engineering, Data Science, AdOps, and external partners to deliver scalable, reliable, revenue-generating ad capabilities.

• Own end-to-end execution of complex, multi-team initiatives.
• Translate strategy into clear, dependency-aware plans, proactively manage risk, and drive predictable delivery across engineering, product, and data.
• Establish scalable program mechanisms that improve quality, speed, and operational discipline.
• Align diverse stakeholders across consumer surfaces, revenue teams, and external partners to deliver cohesive ad experiences.
• Navigate competing priorities, influence without authority, and ensure technical execution supports marketplace dynamics and strategic revenue goals.
• Ensure program collaboration is reliable, measurable, and continuously improving.
• Drive rigor in experimentation, performance monitoring, and incident management while partnering with Product and Data teams to translate results into actionable business impact.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Qualifications

• 6+ years leading large-scale technical programs in agile environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of multi-team initiatives involving backend services, front-end surfaces, and data systems.
• Strong operational rigor, risk management, release readiness, dependency tracking.
• Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights clearly.
• Strong systems thinking, able to reason across architecture, dependencies, and business impact.
• Experience driving experimentation frameworks and data-informed decision-making.
• Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment in ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering background or strong architectural fluency.
• 3+ years working in advertising or marketplace platforms (e.g., Google Ad Manager, Prebid, SSPs, DSPs, DMPs, programmatic infrastructure).
