The selected individual will serve as the primary interface between operational stakeholders, engineers, and fielding teams, ensuring successful deployment and sustainment of integrated sensor and command-and-control systems. This position will play a key role in supporting emerging efforts aligned with range airspace awareness, Airspace Management integration, and C-UAS architectures across large-scale training environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end program execution for airspace awareness, Airspace Management, and C-UAS initiatives, from planning through fielding and sustainment.

  • Utilize and integrate Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS) data into planning and execution.
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, risk registers, and performance metrics.
  • Provide executive-level reporting to OWT leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Support capture and growth efforts by shaping requirements and advising on operational CONOPS.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in military operations, with direct involvement in airspace management and deconfliction.
  • Military range operations (live-fire, maneuver, aviation integration).
  • Demonstrated experience working within or alongside Range Control / Installation Range Operations.
  • Airspace Management Authorities (e.g., A2/3/5, Airspace Cells, FAA coordination).

  • Experience in fielding and integrating systems and sensors in operational environments.
  • Proven ability to manage complex programs involving multiple stakeholders and technical domains.
  • Experience supporting or interfacing with UAS / C-UAS operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with TAK (ATAK/WinTAK) or similar COP environments highly desired.
  • Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, mission-driven environments.

Desired Background

  • Prior experience as a Senior Aviation Officer (e.g., Battalion/Brigade-level leadership, Company Commander, or equivalent) with deep understanding of rotary-wing operations and integration into complex airspace environments.
  • Former Helicopter Pilot (Army, SOF, or Joint) with experience operating in restricted, congested, or high-density training airspace.
  • Senior-level experience in Airspace Management / Airspace Control, including Installation-level Airspace Manager / Airspace Control Authority (ACA) support.
  • Air Control Manager / Airspace Operations Lead within Division, Corps, or Joint environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting airspace deconfliction across manned and unmanned systems (fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and UAS).
  • Experience coordinating with Range Control / Range Operations, Combat Aviation Brigades (CABs), Airspace Management Cells (A2C2), FAA / external agencies as required.
  • Background supporting large-scale training environments (e.g. NTC, JRTC, Fort Stewart, Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell, or equivalent).
  • Experience in Joint, SOF, or multi-domain operations strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Airspace Management concepts, UAS integration, and emerging airspace management technologies is highly desired.

Leadership & Execution Expectations

  • Able to bridge the gap between operators and engineers.
  • Drives accountability across teams and partners.
  • Maintains high operational tempo while ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Proactively identifies and mitigates program risks.

Work Location

  • Primary Duty Location: Remote (CONUS-based preferred).
