[Hiring] Senior Implementation Consultant @Motive

Role Description

The Senior Implementation Consultant serves as the Project Leader and Delivery Owner for enterprise implementations. This role is responsible for structured, end-to-end project execution, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and with high customer satisfaction.

• Own the end-to-end implementation lifecycle—from kickoff through deployment, training, and transition to long-term support.
• Serve as the single-threaded owner of project delivery, accountable for timelines, scope, risks, and overall customer experience.
• Lead customer stakeholders through structured project planning by defining:
  • Scope and success criteria
  • Milestones and timelines
  • Roles and responsibilities
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans and tracking mechanisms, ensuring visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Proactively communicate project status, risks, and changes, driving clear expectations and timely decision-making.
• Facilitate structured customer cadences (kickoffs, weekly status calls, executive updates) to maintain momentum and alignment.

• Establish and enforce project governance standards, including status reporting, risk tracking, and stakeholder communication plans.
• Identify, document, and manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAIDs), driving mitigation plans and escalations as needed.
• Manage scope control and change management, ensuring alignment to agreed deliverables while navigating evolving customer needs.
• Hold internal teams, partners, and customers accountable to project commitments and timelines.
• Balance multiple concurrent enterprise implementations, ensuring prioritization and delivery quality at scale.

• Guide customers through the end-to-end setup, configuration, and deployment of Motive hardware and SaaS solutions.
• Translate technical and operational requirements into clear, actionable execution plans for customers, installers, and internal teams.
• Ensure alignment between project plan, hardware logistics, and field execution, minimizing delays and rework.
• Prepare customers for long-term success by ensuring operational readiness and smooth transition to steady-state support.

• Deliver and/or partner with education teams to provide targeted, high-impact training aligned to project milestones.
• Guide customers through organizational change management, driving adoption across large, distributed teams.
• Enable customer self-sufficiency through structured documentation, communication, and knowledge transfer.

• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Support, Engineering, Product, and Installation teams to deliver a cohesive implementation.
• Act as the central orchestrator across all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and timely execution.
• Proactively identify blockers and drive resolution through appropriate escalation paths.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Motive’s implementation frameworks, playbooks, and delivery standards.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of experience in implementation, project management, or enterprise customer-facing roles.
• Proven success leading complex, multi-stakeholder deployments (hardware + SaaS preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to manage full project lifecycle delivery, including planning, execution, and risk management.
• Experience working with enterprise customers in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

• Strong project management discipline, including planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple projects.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Proven ability to identify risks early and drive structured resolution.
• Ability to balance consultative guidance with delivery accountability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
• Proficiency in project management and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Asana, Jira, Smartsheet).
