[Hiring] Senior Design Project Manager @DLB Associates

Role Description

The Senior Design Project Manager is accountable for leading all aspects of a project. This person will work as part of the project team and interact closely with the owner, designers, contractors, subcontractors, and other trades on projects in commercial and mission-critical environments.

• Lead the design and construction administration phases of projects.
• Perform site visits and represent DLB in client meetings.
• Coordinate with internal and external members and manage general project overhead tasks.
• Self-directed on day-to-day work with high-level instruction on new projects or assignments.
• Lead project teams of routine or complex scope and may coordinate activities of other personnel.
• Communicate and operate in line with organizational and client goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry trends, project management, and construction procedures and best practices.
• Knowledge of MEP / FA / FP trades and the general requirements for each.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of mission-critical, commercial buildings or other structures.
• Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Skilled at using construction management software such as Procore.
• Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
• Skilled at managing personnel and material resources.
• Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others.
• Ability to follow company and site safety requirements.
• Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information).
• Ability to communicate effectively directly with clients and at times serve as primary point of client contact.
• Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with onsite and remote team members.
• Ability to analyze complex information and develop plans to address identified issues.

Requirements

• Approximately 15% travel, which may include travel to any or all 50 US states.
• Travel defined as physically leaving home for business activities including client sites, meetings, and industry conferences.
