[Hiring] Project Training Management Specialist @LMI

Role Description

LMI is seeking a Project Management Training Specialist to coordinate learner services and virtual training operations for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) technology modernization initiatives. This position combines scheduling, learning management system administration, live-session production, completion tracking, and responsive user support to ensure that training is accessible, reliable, and easy to navigate.

• Coordinate instructor calendars and class rosters.
• Prepare and moderate Microsoft Teams or Webex sessions.
• Maintain accurate enrollment and completion records.
• Assist learners with course access and common Jira questions.
• Work closely with Agile instructors, instructional designers, platform support staff, and program operations to resolve issues.
• Anticipate learner needs, protect data quality, identify recurring support patterns, and follow issues through to closure.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in education, training specialist, instructional design/technology, communications, business administration, human resources, information systems, or a related field. Two additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor's.
• 1+ year of training operations, learning support, help desk, or related experience.
• Experience supporting virtual events or classes with Microsoft Teams or Webex.
• Familiarity with LMS enrollment, attendance, completion tracking, and user support.
• Working knowledge of Jira Cloud and strong customer-service and organizational skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust determination and satisfy applicable federal personnel vetting, security, privacy, accessibility, and data-handling requirements.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification.
• Ability to manage concurrent class logistics, maintain accurate records, and communicate clearly with learners and instructors under time pressure.
• Experience handling user information carefully and escalating technical problems with complete, reproducible details.

Requirements

• Prior experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), or federal health programs is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting high-volume (20k users) federal training programs.
• Confluence knowledge-base administration or accessibility-support experience.
• Experience using ticketing or service-management tools and creating reusable support instructions for frequent learner questions.
• Graduate coursework or a master's degree in education, learning technologies, or organizational learning is a plus.
• Additional Atlassian credentials such as Jira Essentials or Confluence Essentials certification are desirable.

Benefits

• Target salary range: $60,000 - $85,000
