[Hiring] Project Quantity Surveyor @Solomons Europe

Role Description

As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you'll be a trusted commercial advisor seconded and embedded within client delivery teams. No two secondments are the same — you'll work with client organisations, Tier 1 and Tier 2 contractors, and specialist subcontractors across diverse sectors.

From site-based problem-solving to commercial strategy, you'll help to deliver major infrastructure and engineering projects while influencing contract performance and project success. This role puts you right at the center of project delivery. You'll be out on site regularly, working closely with delivery teams and seeing the impact of your work first-hand.

Working within collaborative project teams, you'll:

• Provide commercial and contractual support across NEC4 projects
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and delivery teams
• Identify opportunities, manage risk, and drive commercial performance
• Support contract administration and commercial governance
• Help develop smarter and more innovative ways of working
• Contribute to successful project outcomes through proactive problem-solving and sound commercial judgement

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (HNC/HND qualifications also considered with experience)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business travel
• Proven experience of supporting clients on live projects, full end to end life project cycle
• Experience in forecasting, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR), and financial reporting
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
• A passion for continuous improvement, learning, and professional development
• Ideally holds experience or developing knowledge of NEC4 contracts and commercial strategies
• Ideally working towards, or interested in pursuing a professional membership with RICS, CIPS, or ICE preferred
• Ideally, experienced working within multidisciplinary project teams
