Role Description

• Manage a portfolio of Scientific Communications projects from initiation through delivery
• Develop and maintain project charters and detailed project plans with scope, objectives, milestones, and governance structures
• Track execution rigorously across multiple initiatives and ensure adherence to timelines and deliverables
• Drive accountability across cross-functional teams through clear commitments and follow-through
• Proactively identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and escalate appropriately to leadership
• Plan and lead efficient project meetings and working team sessions
• Prepare leadership-ready materials including status updates, dashboards, and decision summaries
• Maintain an integrated portfolio view to identify dependencies, conflicts, and upcoming decision points
• Support prioritization and sequencing across the portfolio to ensure focus on highest-value initiatives
• Engage with senior stakeholders (Executive Directors, Senior Directors) to enable alignment and timely decision-making

Qualifications

• Medical Affairs experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies (required)
• Proven experience in project planning, charter development, and portfolio execution
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in regulated environments
• Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and pharma/biotech ways of working
• Demonstrated ability to hold teams accountable without direct authority
• Excellent written and verbal communication in business-level English
• Independent self-starter who anticipates issues and mitigates risks proactively
• High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Comfortable working across global teams and time zones

Requirements

• Experience with Smartsheet and Asana
• Background in Scientific Communications or Medical Communications functions
• Experience supporting Executive Director or Senior Director level stakeholders
• Proficiency with AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)
• Experience working with Scientific Communications templates and governance standards
