[Hiring] Project Manager, Nurse Practitioner @National University

Role Description

Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Community Affairs in Health, the Project Manager Nurse Practitioner (PMNP) is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations for the Gloria J. McNeal Nurse Managed Clinic (GJMNMC) grant-funded initiatives designed to enhance the quality of care, improving access to behavioral and primary care services.

• Oversees clinic operations across multiple site locations in Los Angeles and San Diego.
• Ensures efficient clinic workflows and continuity of care.
• Manages the Electronic Health Record (EHR) System (Practice Fusion).
• Monitors remote telemetric patient biometric data.
• Provides administrative and clinical support to advanced practice nurses, Master of Social Work (MSW) students, and community health administrative staff.
• Collaborates closely with faculty and staff from the National University (NU) JFK School of Psychology and Social Services.
• Directs grant activities in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Assists and monitors outcome reporting systems.
• Assists with communications with federal grant staff and stakeholders.
• Supports budget and grant objectives across the institution.
• Includes scholarly and community engagement responsibilities.
• Co-authors publications and reports related to clinic outcomes.
• Collects data for the federal Uniform Data System (UDS).
• Builds relationships with community leaders, social service agencies, and CBOs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in healthcare or a related field, preferred.
• Master of Science in Nursing required.
• Current and unencumbered Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Certification and Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure required.
• Active California furnishing number, National Provider Identifier (NPI), and DEA registration number required.
• Maintain current national and state board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an approved organization such as:
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
  • American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
  • National Certification Corporation (NCC) for Obstetrics, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management and leadership required.
• At least 5 years of experience in higher education student success programming, grants management, or related work with Hispanic adult learners preferred.
• Experience coordinating or managing federal grant programs preferred.
• Background working in or with communities of color or other underserved populations preferred.
• Evidence of prior experience serving in a nurse faculty position preferred.
