Role Description

Farmers Insurance is seeking an experienced, results-driven IT Project Manager III to join our Data & Analytics organization. In this role, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects that support business objectives.

• Work closely with the IA and EA Distribution Data teams responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data used for analytics, data science, and reporting across agencies and business units.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables while coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring alignment between business and IT stakeholders.
• The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise, technical aptitude, leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to deliver technology solutions in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional experience in IT project management or technology project delivery.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional IT projects, including schedules, budgets, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating technical teams, business partners, and third-party vendors.
• Experience supporting data, analytics, business intelligence, or enterprise technology initiatives is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology Management, or a related field.
• Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• Background in Management Information Systems (MIS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS) is an advantage.
• Fluent English is required.

Requirements

• Lead end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of medium- to large-scale IT projects, including complex data and analytics initiatives.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, Data & Analytics, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• Apply SAFe Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies based on project requirements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to management and key stakeholders.
• Manage project financials, including budget tracking, cost estimates, vendor expenditures, and invoice approvals.
• Coordinate supplier activities, evaluate work requests, and oversee work orders and vendor deliverables, as applicable.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication, issue resolution, and decision-making across business and technology teams.
• Establish and manage project acceptance criteria, coordinate acceptance testing, and ensure deliverables meet business and technical requirements.
• Oversee project change management activities and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Review and approve project deliverables, ensuring quality and alignment with business objectives.
• Lead project closure activities, including final documentation and post-implementation reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and delivery effectiveness.
• Perform additional project management responsibilities as assigned.

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of SAFe Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid project delivery methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for project tracking, reporting, and data analysis.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for stakeholder presentations and management reporting.
• Familiarity with Rally or similar Agile project management platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Project or comparable project scheduling tools.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI for dashboards and performance reporting.
• Foundational SQL knowledge and the ability to collaborate effectively with data-focused technical teams.
• Understanding of project governance, risk management, financial tracking, and resource planning.
